New Art/Design Project for 2013 (similar to 2011’s drawing a day):
I few posts ago I posted sketches for a show at USC’s (the real USC in South Carolina) Student Gallery. Above are the finished products of the second show this past Fall 2012.
Music is the focus mixed with imagination and exaggeration.
*Medium: Watercolor paint, watercolor pencil, pen, and ink brush.

Character Design for a friend’s story. Here’s my sketches and semi-color process.
I need to revamp, she said I made her too thick. (too thick, hmm?)

Forgot to mention this from earlier in the 2012, I helped design this for some kid in Florida - his “Bulluminati” shirt.
(the left side of the first image is “the kid’s” idea & the right side is my re-design which is on the crewneck sweatshirt)
If I find the other ones I designed I’ll tag them with #this-kid.
(blame the Fall ‘12 school semester for lack of updates!!)

Done with classes, now I have a week of exams left (2 exams on this Wed & 1 on Thurs).
But I must post some things that I didn’t have time to because of school. For instance, I had my first joint student gallery showing on campus in the beginning of the semester (it was extremely last minute).
The images accompanying this post include the rough pages of a comic book project (before speech bubbles/sound fx), a “John Edwards Scandal” illustration, a nude figure drawing, and graphic projects.
This maybe PT. 1 of the post!

Sketches for a show that I’m currently in with a friend. I wanted to have a music theme infused with humans (within current & post pop culture imagery).
My friend asked about the numbers on the guy’s left - I realized that CD players have officially phased out when somebody doesn’t recognize the “primitive” Volume Dial.
The show is just for this current week. Her work is awesome too, ceramic hearts & giant hanging pieces.
