So, I know I am very, very late in posting the next (random) comic page and I’m probably about 3 pages behind schedule too. And I also realized that the numbering is off because of the guy in his boxers but this^^^ page is for week 6.
And expect #7 to be posted tomorrow afternoon! I’m really enjoying this character’s short series!
2013’s 52 Comics a week. Here’s page 2 of last week’s comic, Brahma. This page is (Brahma’s) the character’s establishing shot, makes me wanna draw him more often. There’s about 3-4 pages of him left to go!
Excuse the lack of dialogue, I’m trying to improve storytelling skills through imagery and frame sequence. Also, still continuing the same limited palette of grays, yellow, and red.
Hey Everybody!
Since last week was my birthday (which seemed to last for about 4 days), I became a little side tracked from this comic book project. The page up above is from last week (Jan 20-26) and Page 1 for a character named “Brahma”.
I created a good process to make this and experiment with digital color/limited color scale.
If anyone likes this, there will be about 4-6 additional pages of Brahma VS Killer Robots.

So, I’m a few days late with this post but here it is. I’m really trying to have them posted around or on the Friday of each week. This post, like the others, is yet another random comic/cartoon. Not quite a story around yet but fun to make some thing up out of the blue with no frame or plot or story or character.
ARTIFEX JAY - Random Comic: Week 3 or 52. Check it out!
Done with classes, now I have a week of exams left (2 exams on this Wed & 1 on Thurs).
But I must post some things that I didn’t have time to because of school. For instance, I had my first joint student gallery showing on campus in the beginning of the semester (it was extremely last minute).
The images accompanying this post include the rough pages of a comic book project (before speech bubbles/sound fx), a “John Edwards Scandal” illustration, a nude figure drawing, and graphic projects.
This maybe PT. 1 of the post!

I designed this in one night/day around 4am, Sept 13th, for a contest in Columbia, SC with a deadline of Sept 13th, Noon. Finished this & emailed it at 6am.
I know that it was incredibly last minute but a classmate told me about the logo contest 1-2 days before the deadline via facebook…yep!
I wanted to keep a decent color theme of warm colors that would remind people of a hot sauce label or of mild/hot chilli.
I like the end result, though I’m not “in love” with it. I doubt that I won the contest since it was a spot idea but it’s decent.
